Things I must record before I forget.

This is how we spend our BYU football nights - at the MC with David and Lauren and me-homework. :)

August 2012
>> Kent walks into a screen door
>> Kent laughs on the toilet....

September 2012
>>I yell out the window "CAMIE!!!" to a stranger who's name wasn't Camie.
>>I waved to kent in my parked car about a football field away and a stranger thought I waved to him. He waved back and then came to my window and said, "hey! How's it going?" I responded with, "I'm sorry I don't know you."
>>Kent tooted in the car and I said, "EW IT SMELLS" and then he said, "What? It smells like gas" referring to gasoline.
>>One morning Kent was singing "What doesn't kill you makes you stro-!" while bent over and while he said "stronger" he hit his head really hard on a bar. I couldn't stop laughing!

About a week ago I prayed for some embarrassing moments. Which is weird. But I felt like nothing was happening that was funny and I would rather remember and laugh at this time in life than worry about homework. I think Heavenly Father helped me encounter these situations and then remember them.

That is all.

Online Learning

Welcome to what looks like my online drawing class. Weird, huh?
Online and drawing shouldn't be allowed in the same sentence.
I listen/watch videos and this is what I draw! SOME KOOL BOXES AND SHAPES.

I have to take this class in order to take a photography class. Maybe once I take that class I'll see the benefit of this class. Maybe not.

A little moody

On my way to a 2:00 class I have, I was walking up some stairs. A girl that was ahead of me looked behind me and then didn't hold the door for me. "Hey, you're in my class" I thought, so as I followed her up the 3 flights of stairs, I ran. Boy was I intimidating, and when I caught up to her, she walked a little faster up those stairs. Walking 1 inch behind her, she looked back, smiled and held the door open for me to go into our class.

Boy am I mean! I just realized how very immature that was and silly. Watch out if I'm moody!

Tonight was fun. Kent finished his Chem test with a 92%! We celebrated with Farmer's Market Corn that we cooked up at home (and panini's).

I love coming home to this guy!!!!!

Updates around our little place

I re-named my pinterest board for our kids from "little ones" to "the munchkins". Thought it was worth sharing.

We had free sandwiches tonight from an awesome place.

Kent is asleep next to me.

It is officially Tuesday and I'm officially not ready for it.

We are "juniors" now! The school told us so!

I get frequent cuts in my nose and cold sores here in Idaho and they have already begun.

For Family Home Evening tonight we made cookies and prepared our lesson for Sunday. I love the scriptures and how the Book of Mormon teaches of Christ!!! And how we think everyone should read it and see that!!!

Both of our classes were canceled this morning. That never happens at the same time!

Things are good, and we stay busy!

photos

I found this going through photos at work yesterday. It's me in an elevator. Woo.
This particular day was the busiest day of my work experience. I took pictures of 5 or 6 different groups that consist of lots of poses and getting the image right. On several of those I had to go show my boss and then if he didn't like it, I went back and took some more. That got me so tired. Then I had all these HUGE files on my camera/computer that took forever to process. In the middle of those photo sessions, I had to run up to the Ricks building to take pictures during a meeting.
That day I laughed and was grateful for my job. I am able to continue to develop my skills as a photographer/get paid and still go to school. It's awesome and I need to be more grateful even when there are 4 photo shoots to do before my next class.
See that trusty camera bag? Garage Sale $5. Wouldn't know where I would be without it.
I got my camera strap: here.

Brigham City Temple

This temple is BEAUTIFUL. Kent and I just looked at it for like 5 minutes and commented on the blocky structure and how pretty it is. Unfortunately we stopped by on a Sunday and did not get the chance to go to the open house - which I know is even prettier on the inside.
I love temples!
And here we are!

Pinterest Pumpkins

I looked on my pinterest, and what did I see? CUTE PAINTED PUMPKINS SMILING BACK AT ME!
Which led me to writing this:

So for our family home evening activity tonight, we went hunting. PUMPKIN hunting.

And guess what?

NOTHING. No pumpkins!
I guess they are not ready for the public until October 1st or something.

I made Kent promise that if he saw one, to buy it. And some paint.
We are going to have the coolest pumpkins outside our door!

Okay I have like a million vocab words to find for tomorrow's class.

Who's the Thank you note boss?

That would be uh-me.
I just wrote like 20 yesterday! 34 left!
That's right!!

Happy Monday

I have been waiting, waiting, waiting for this photo. I saw one just like it online when I was in High School. I have always wanted to re-created it with my husband, and we did!

This little apartment of ours is the best. So close to campus, cheap and awesome with some neat personality. And we got it from some really cool people named Anna and Jason.

Happy Monday!

Our home

That is derrick on the couch with Kent watching wrestling videos.

Not the whole thing, but most of it's cuteness

Best part of our home:

Look closely

Look who made it on the cover?

Married life has been so fun. The best thing is coming to our little home, being together and then not having to say goodbye!

Life at the moment

This is what our new little kitchen table has looked like for the past 2 days.
BRING IT ON, SCHOOL!

  • Backstreet Boys
  • Boy Bands

Update

School starts MONDAY. Am I ready for this? Heck no!

WE MOVED IN! It is the cutest little apartment and so perfect. So close to campus and awesome. Pics to come.

I wrote 20 thank yous yesterday! only 53 more! And that's not even that bad!! So pumped to get that done.

On our way home from Utah to Rexburg (weird to say) Kent started singing "and the green grass grows all around all around and the green grass grows all around!" Then I say, "you do realize that song is from Barney, right?" "No it's a camping song!" So I looked it up on Youtube:
Sure enough!

Aug. 6th @11pm

Hi Anna! I was wondering if I could get some pictures taken in a couple of weeks?

(1 year ago last month I got this message from a stranger).

>>Who is this again? Yeah! I'll be here in Kansas for 4 more weeks.

Great! How about the 22nd at about noon?

>>I will be in Kansas City that day, but any other day should work. Sorry who is this again?

Ohh I would really love one at noon on that day. Can I get one in Kansas City, maybe at the temple?

>>I'm really sorry but since I have other things to do in Kansas City that day, it's going to cost you extra.

Would a kiss work?

>>Mmmmm, maybe. Wanna meet me at the airport at 11:55am?

I would love to give you one:) yes, I would love to!:)

Kent Buys came to Kansas August 22nd, 2011 and I picked him up at the Kansas City airport at 11:55am. Later that day we stopped by the Kansas City temple, which was under construction.

Almost a year later that's where we were sealed.

I love this guy!

(p.s. Kent was using his sister's phone to confuse me)

This is me at work. I took those pictures on the poster in the background!

Anyway, still moving in and getting stuff organized.
Ta-ta for now!

Sunday, September 2

Just came to say...

We move into our own place tomorrow!

Smiles and awkward hugs all around.
