Latest Creation

Hearts above our bed! We had some like this at our wedding reception, so I decided to make some more for our room. I feel like a kid, but they are so fun to watch and just look at.

Here's how it's made.
You will need: Your favorite stick, a book to cut up ($1 at D.I.), 3 pieces of red construction paper, and a sewing machine.
Sew the hearts together and then hang from the stick!
So fun and simple.

What is a project you are working on?

Another week of awesome

This week is Halloween.(!)
I have basically finished our costumes, now we just have to put them on.

Get ready for a realllly cool video either this week or next featuring
Daviiid, Lauren and I and Kent.

I woke up at 10:15 and my class
starts at 10:15. woo skip skip skip.

I'm in the middle of taking a quiz like right now.
Look how awesome and productive I am.

Kent is on a basketball team.
We made a deal.
I go to his games,
he crafts with me.
So far I have been to 1 game
and he came to Porters with me once.

We <3 canasta.
Kent won by like 6000 points last night!
My grandparents also love the game, I can't wait to play with them!

Kent and I gave talks yesterday in church.
I always get so nervous and out of breath!
I also started breathing into the microphone
like primary children and giggled a little to myself.

We went to the Rarick's
primary program  yesterday too!
Those little people are so cute.

BYU game in 2 weeks (that we are going to)!
I'm actually excited for this one.

Halloween Tradition

$7 scriptures from a Lost and found sale!! So excited to read them and mark them up.

Did I ever tell you about this little show? Well, we LOVE it. And also, this little dog got us free tickets to the show. Kent and I were at a drawing in the bookstore on campus and they yelled out for the first person to show them a picture of their pet in their wallet won 2 free tickets to the movies. Kent and I were watching a couple people dig for their pet's picture when Kent said, "I have a picture of you and kiva in my wallet" I grabbed that sucker and dug, found the picture and slapped it on the counter in front of the guy and we won! It was the coolest moment ever.

I have been looking looking looking for a certain specific spectacular post from exactly one year ago from the old blog, but I can't find it! And I gave up because I kept getting distracting with all the old posts and pictures. We were so cute.

Here is the Buys' family Halloween tradition. Please feel free to have it as your own as well.
GHOST POOP. The most glorious, cute, brilliant and cheap idea on the face of this planet. I remember the first time I saw Ghost poop stuck to someones door in a little plastic bag. I was like 15 and it still stuck with me. It's nothing like an overwhelming plate of brownies and no where close to an egg splattered on your garage. It's cute little bag of "ghost poo" that will not harm anyone. It even comes with a riddle! Last year it took us like an hour to pick our favorite doors and find them and knock and run. This year it took like 10 minutes. We've shortened it and did it to random strangers.
Daviid and Kent with their ghost poop!

Me and Lauren with our supplies!
What an awesome crew.
"It's Halloween time, so listen... here's the scoop! Whether you think it's a trick or a treat, here's a little GHOST POOP!"
Mission Accomplished.
Have a great weekend! Kent and I are giving talks in church and we are making chili tomorrow!
Spiritual enlightenment: here.

Feels like Christmas

>>I could not sleep last night. I was listening to Christmas music while finishing homework and I got too excited! There is snow on the ground, we made some homemade hot chocolate, I was in warm pj's and it's almost the weekend! Things are just too exciting. I even sang "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" the whole way to school in my head.

>>I met this girl from Kansas today and she showed me this video:

I love people from Kansas!

>>We have FINALLY decided and purchased Halloween costumes. Keepin' on the family tradition!

Hello Monday.

photo taken fall 2010

Waking up to that feeling of "you have to get ready in 10 minutes to be on time" isn't the most welcoming feeling of a Monday morning, but somehow I push through it and make it on time to talk to one of my only friends in that class about pregnancies and what to expect. (I'm not pregnant).

On my brisk walks to school every morning I pass the place we got our rings, the plasma center, an arcade, Sammy's, the place I get my haircut, a small park, the post office, and the Rexburg Vision Center. So much packed into one small path.

I love this campus and this school. There is so much going on and not going on up here. It's perfect, although wayyy better when you are married.

Tonight Kent and I went on a double date/fhe with Daviid and Lauren to the HAUNTED MILL. We had to crawl through carpeted tunnels and go through little maze rooms in an old mill place. Kent held my hands and waddled behind me the whole time while I stayed very close to Lauren and Daviid led the way. Every time I got scared I would sweat a little bit. Let's say I got pretty hot.

happy halloween.

My hubby

When does your total always equal $13.00 exactly when you buy Sprite, Strawberries, Old Spice Body Wash, and one other thing that I can't remember?

This morning I saw this guy raking some leaves after class. I asked if I could take his picture, and he said yes :)

Have a GREAT weekend!
2 photoshoots this weekend that I am oh-so excited for.

little things

I absolutely love having the temple so close to our home. We can just go on a date there anytime. I love how beautiful each experience is. We are going tonight!

I made a Thankful Board! $6 from D.I.
It was a frame with a painted picture of a little boy fishing.
forgive me, it's backwards because of my webcam.

Kent got new shorts. So while he was modeling them for me, I took pictures and made him jump up and down to show his excitement.
Love it how the littlest things can make us so happy.

Wednesday, October 17

I'm sitting next to a couple in the library who are looking at their engagement pictures. So  I decided to look through ours and was reminded of how beautiful our marriage is.

I can get overwhelmed so easy sometimes. Like right now with this test I have to take. ughh.

Spider Man

Kent just yelled from the other room, "AH! A Spider!"

Then 20 seconds later he said, "Don't worry babe, I got it."

Then 10 seconds after that he said, "Ah that was the creepiest thing I ever saw." (Talking to himself).

I married a man that kills the spiders but is also very afraid of them.

Kent just said from the bathroom:
"Woah, I'm becoming a man." (Looking at his chest hair)
This guy is so funny!

4 Months ago today we sealed the deal <3
Love you sweetie

We love having friends and family over! Sunday:This is Dawn (Kent's cousin) and her man. And me with mine :)
