findings

Don't watch for too long, it makes you dizzy.

I just found this and felt like I needed to share it. I had no idea we made that gif! This is while we were dating. One of my date ideas was to go to the icenter (big building) and throw airplanes from the 3rd floor to the first. It was so much fun! It was probably the funnest date EVER in our life. We are trying to be better at going on many dates (AT LEAST once a week). It sure is different when you are married. I miss these times!

Poor Kent and his fingers/braces/glasses. Still liked him a lot.. and still do :)

hi everyone

hi. I have not blogged in a while. update time.

1. I lost BOTH of our journals. There goes our history books for the grand-kids. So I found another temporary one. Hopefully I will find Kenter's soon so he can document this precious time of life.
2. We went on a date 2 days ago to walmart. We bought another fish. I love how we date.
3. Kent's brother gave us some speakers and now pandora is my new best friend. I have Imagine Dragons radio constantly playing.
4. I have a pile of clothes and stuff that could either be sold, or given to a thrift store. It's a tough decision.
5. Saw King Kong last night for the first time cuddled up next to kent. The best part of the movie was cuddling up to Kent. Seriously a weird movie! It was as long as the Hobbit was!
6. We went up to Island Park, Idaho with Kent's parents to eat some ribs and see family. It was fun and beautiful. see picture above.
7. Tomorrow we will play with some kiddies in nursery.
8. I rode my bike to work yesterday. Makes me feel strong and also out of shape. Campus is one big UPhill!

Kent just got home! Time to give him a smooch. byee

Skype chat with dad

[10/9/2011 8:09:47 PM] Scott Freeby: Hi Anna - we're here!  Just waitin' for you to get "on-line"  Love, Dad
[10/9/2011 8:11:38 PM] Scott Freeby: Still here.
[10/9/2011 8:14:06 PM] Scott Freeby: Took Claire's shoes and socks downstairs, now I'm back.
[10/9/2011 8:17:42 PM] Scott Freeby: Folded a blanket, picked-up a kleenex (threw it away), picked up Parker's flip-flops, kissed your mom on her right cheek... now I'm back.
[10/9/2011 8:20:32 PM] Scott Freeby: Conducted Beethoven's 9th Symphony in my head (really fast tempo)...now I'm back
[10/9/2011 8:23:51 PM] Scott Freeby: Took the scriptures (two sets) back to the living room, shut back porch light off, closed sliding door, turned annoying fan off, put consecrated oil back on the half moon table... now I'm back.
[10/9/2011 8:25:54 PM] Scott Freeby: Kissed my finger then touched your cheek on the picture of you and Kent...waved "hi" to Kent, took a glass back to the sink in kitchen...now I'm back
[10/9/2011 8:26:37 PM] Scott Freeby: Looked at clock...noticed it was 9:25...now I'm back
[10/9/2011 8:29:27 PM] Scott Freeby: Tickled Parker until he laughed and said "Why did you tickle me?"  I said, "I love you, buddy...that's why I tickled you."  Parker said, Oh, O.K... now I'm back
[10/9/2011 8:53:14 PM] Scott Freeby: I'm starting to think you might have thought I said 9:00 "your time" instead of "our time."
[10/9/2011 8:53:56 PM] Scott Freeby: Went to put Parker to bed...
[10/9/2011 9:08:32 PM] Scott Freeby: Now I'm back...whew...that took awhile!  I hope you're safe.  Text me or call - I'll answer.  I Love you, Anna!  Dad :)

I acutally never chatted with him that night I don't think. It was all dad, waiting for me. I probably forgot or it was the wrong time, like he said, but this is hilarious. I love my dad.

one of THOSE days

Today was one of THOSE days. Everything my spouse did, annoyed me! He even offered to get me a glass of water (out of love) and it bugged me! Marriage isn't perfect, but having one of THOSE days makes all the normal days even better.
Sorry this is low quality but this is how I feel:

Right now it is Raining! I'm so grateful for the rain. It makes me feel like there is a second chance and it's always time to start over and become better. Maybe I'll apply that to my relationship with my husband right now.

hola

1 year ago today Kent and I were working our cleaning job from 8am-4pm in Utah. We cleaned up and then went to Walmart and spent $101 in gift cards. Those were the days.
It was really such a blessing to have that random job for 2 months, and also to have the jobs we have now. Working during school isn't the best, but it is nice. Right now since we are not in school, work keeps us busy and pays the bills.
Last night we went to a ward BBQ. While waiting in line for our burgers, we looked around at the nursery children we watch on Sundays. Benson was putting his finger on the nozzle for the water, Tristan was running around with a broom and Gabe was just sitting on a blanket by himself with his water cup. I love being in nursery with Kent.

Our Day

I will tell you about our day. With zero pictures (of today). Sorry.

I cleaned/organized/mopped/re-arranged our whole apartment! Felt good.

Kent worked, I stayed home.

He got back and then we ate some leftover pizza.

I went to a craft store and bought fake flowers.

We strolled the farmer's market.

Drove to Arctic Circle (cheap version of DQ) and got a shake to share for $2.89. Nutty Monkey with Reese's. YUM.

Took our treat to the park and ate it WHILE throwing a frisbee to each other. <--talent

Went to celebrate Kent's brother's Championship soccer season. They gave us a hotdogs.

Ate the hotdogs in the car on our way to the Rarircks.

Kent and I watched Here comes the Boom with the Raricks. Love that family and love that movie. I laugh and giggle every time there is a funny part. Even if I know it's coming.

Stayed up late and talked with them (until 12:30am!)

Annnnnd right now it's 2am. I have been browsing Target.com and craigslist, to find some garage sales for tomorrow morning.

Kent is passed out on the couch.

Now we will go to bed! Garage Sales when we wake up!!

Kent thought of this pose all by himself. It's so awkward and weird!! But I had to share it with you :)

My ColorCode

I was talking to my friend the other day about relationships and life in general. She told me about this idea called the ColorCode where it explains what "color" you are. It tells you how you like to be treated and how you tend to react around things. There are 4 colors:

Red Motive Power
Red are the power wielders. Power: the ability to move from point A to point B and get things done, is what motivates and drives these people. They bring great gifts of vision and leadership and generally are responsible, decisive, proactive and assertive.
Blue Motive Intimacy
Blue are the do-gooders. Intimacy: connecting, creating quality relationships and having purpose, is what motivates and drives these people. They bring great gifts of quality and service and are generally loyal, sincere, and thoughtful.
White Motive Peace
White are the peacekeepers. Peace: the ability to stay calm and balanced even in the midst of conflict, is what motivates and drives these people. They bring great gifts of clarity and tolerance and are generally kind, adaptable, and good-listeners.
Yellow Motive Fun
Yellow are the fun lovers. Fun: the joy of living life in the moment, is what motivates and drives these people. They bring great gifts of enthusiasm and optimism and are generally charismatic, spontaneous, and sociable.
I find this so interesting! So you know what? I took the test and here are my resluts:

MOTIVE [ Peace ]

Whites are motivated by Peace. They seek independence and require kindness. They resist confrontation at all costs. They are typically quiet by nature, process things very deeply and objectively with great clarity. Of all the colors, whites are the best listeners. They respect people who are direct but recoil from perceived hostility or verbal battle.

ABOUT WHITE

Whites need their "alone time" and refuse to be controlled by others. Whites want to do things their own way and in their own time. They ask little of others and resent others demanding much of them. Whites are much stronger than people think, but are not often seen for their strength because they don't easily reveal their feelings. Whites are even-tempered, diplomatic, and the voice of reason; but can also be indecisive, unexpressive, and silently stubborn. When you deal with a WHITE, be kind, accept and support their individuality, and look for non-verbal clues to understand their feelings.
Spot on. I LOVE my alone time, and cannot stand it when something is controlled in a "wrong" way by someone else. I also have a hard time expressing how I feel in words, so I can see the "they don't easily reveal their feelings." I am SUPER indecisive, and silently stubborn. So there you go, I'm white. (haha).
Go find out what color you are! Here is the test (and their site where I got all the information). The free test (what I took) explains your dominate color. The $39.95 test explains your dominate and less dominate color (so you can see how the two interact together - it's more in depth).

Life

Kent and I work in the Nursery on Sundays at our Church. There are on average 18 kids. Yes, 18.
You can see 8 of them in this picture! This might be a little mushy, but I like looking over at Kent and imagining how great of a dad he is going to be! He is seriously so good with kids. I thought he would be weird about it, but he's totally opposite and amazing at this calling.
We have an awesome way of getting reception in our home. (Thank you Addie for wanting to document this for us).

For Family Home Evening one night we decided to make shrinky dinks! My parents got us this SWEET neuwave oven that is *perfect for shrinky dink creations.

Before

After. So small!

Kent got all into it and made key chains.

Online Garage Sales

Our house has been a mess. WE have been a mess. My friend Becca introduced us to this thing called CRAIGSLIST (aka the best thing ever. I already knew about it but whatever.).  Actually she introduced us to the "Rexburg Garage Sale" Page on Facebook. From there I went to Craigslist.

There is a WORLD out there of cheep crap that could be yours! ANNND you can sell your own!!! This has really changed our whole lives (or maybe just this week of life). We had been relying on Garage Sales (in person) and Thrift Stores. Who knew you could sell junk ONLINE?? It's the best thing ever.

So with that all said, here  is a picture to accompany this post.

We went through everything and decided what to sell and what not to sell. It was fun but destructive. Also, our dryer does not dry, so our clothes camp out in the living room.

Seriously with nothing to do after work, we spend our time looking at online garage sales. Try it sometime!

Don't ask about the Christmas Tree...

The Fourth of July!

July 4th is my FAVORITE holiday. I LOVE this country and the freedoms we enjoy. America has a fun day of celebrating it. I don't know if it's the parades, food, red & blue clothing, or fireworks but I just love the feeling you get while eating a burger in someone's backyard with your red shirt on and you're about to enjoy some fireworks. Tutorial about how to take the above firework pictures here.

We started our day off with the Rexburg 4th of July Parade! See all those camping chairs?? They were ALL along the sidewalk the night before to "save their spot". We needed some new camping chairs so... we bought some :) haha. It was so tempting though! They were just laying there!

{Kent and Nora sporting our *new chairs - I promise we bought some}
Even though we had a really great view from our window, we decided to watch it from the street with the Raricks!
The horses were my favorite^

Kiwi Loco frozen yogurt handed out FROZEN YOGURT! Rexburg has 1 parade every year and they go all out.

After the parade we went to the movie, Despicable Me 2! We were laughing like the whole time.

After a nap, we played Canasta with these two and then drove ourselves down to the Mannan Booths and Fireworks! It was such a fun little place. We ate a torta and a funnel cake! Then we paid $3 for a giant Cotton Candy - the lady made it and you said "when" to stop. It was nuts!

Here are the intax pictures we got from it! Here is what happened a year ago. Not as eventful as this year. But I love forth of July's with this guy.

fireworks

Addie and I were roommates in Fall 2011. Last night we had FHE together and decided to go buy some fireworks. We had the best $10 show that lasted like 20 min and burnt a whole lot of circles in the pavement. I love this time of year!

thankful | june

June was a long month! For the first half we were in Kansas and then traveled back to Utah and Rexburg on the 8th and 9th. Right when we got home Kent wrote, "Our Home!" It was such a good feeling coming back to a place that is ours. This month was also our 1 year anniversary (the 16th) which made us even more thankful for marriage and just being together everyday.

We saw Monster's University and bought a light up Frisbee that we have been playing with a lot and having friends play with us. We have been busy at the Farmer's Market. Buying corn and burgers and oatmeal. I also purchased new pictures for our wall! Another project we did was paint our kitchen table all brown (with spray paint) and I painted the bottom of our chairs. I love having free time and summer craft urges.

Also, I can't seem to find the time to do my hair in the morning! I've been wearing it up the whole month basically. I just love sleep  more than I love looking good. sigh.

what makes you happy?

I grew some grass the other day. It came in the mail and it brought me so much happiness until it started dying. It was a birthday present from mom through facebook - did you know you could do that? (thanks mom!). please ignore the dirty window.

I am so excited for fhe tonight with the husband. He is the best. I love spending time with him.
