Hair obsession

Guys - my hair looked real good today so I took some pictures of it. I just want it to grow so long! There's so much more I can do with it.

Family Night Poem

"If I knew it would be the last time that I would see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in tightly and pray to God your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and a kiss and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action word so I could play it back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time I could spare an extra minute to stop and say I love you
instead of assuming you would know it.
If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,
When I am sure you would have so many more so I could just let this one slip away.
For surely there is always tomorrow to make up for an oversight
and we will always get a second chance to make everything just right.
There will always be another day to say I love you
and certainly there's another chance to say anything I can do.
But just in case I might be wrong and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget.
Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone young or old alike
and today might be the last chance you get to hold your love one tight.
So if you're waiting for tomorrow , why not do it today,
For if tomorrow never comes, you will surely regret the day.
That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone what turned out to be their last wish.
So hold your love ones close today and whisper in their ear,
tell them how much you love them and that you will always hold them dear.
Take time to say I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you or it's okay
and if tomorrow never comes you will have no regrets about today.”

Makes me giggle

This picture.

I can't get over how silly we were (and are).
Tomorrow I leave this guy and head to Boise to *walk a 5K. *Notice I said walk.
Someday I will run, but not this time.

I didn't realize how challenging juggling my photography, school, and two jobs was.
Now I can see it, and so can you by the reflection of this blog. Thanks for still reading whoever you are! :)

I will be back to share the news about the 5K!

1st day of school!

It was the first day of school today! I made us go by the sign and take our "first day of school" photos. I love this school and this guy I share my life with.

Things are looking good and fun for this semester. I decided to only take 15 credits, and Kent has 15 as well. Our days are loaded with work and homework. Kent came up to me at home and said, "I already don't like school." It's tough coming back after a 6 month break. boo.

But we are here and we are going to push through it!

Happy first week BYU-Idaho-ans!

Sister, Sister

So my sister has been doing really great at blogging and has this whole motivation behind each day. Her "day one" blog was about her life and this is how she described it:

Day 1, Wednesday: The story of your life in 250 words or less (or one paragraph... no one will be counting your words... probably)

My life is wonderful.  I grew up in a home centered around the gospel of Jesus Christ, learning from my parents who were both converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  I grew up with an older sister and a younger brother.  I went to day care with lots of kids and 2 wiener dogs. I went to Woodrow Wilson elementary school where my dream career was to be a hair dresser and a babysitter. I went to Eisenhower middle school where my dad was the band director, and it was awesome. I play the trombone. I went to Manhattan High School where I became who I am today. I started everyday of High School with a 6:20am church class called Seminary where I learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I loved it. I graduated in 2013. Now I am here in Idaho, trying to figure it all out. and I'm excited.

Basically we are the same. The only differences are the things I crossed out. I have a younger sister, I wanted to be just a babysitter and a mom, I played the french horn, and I graduated in 2010. I agree with claire, "Now I'm here in Idaho, trying to figure it all out. and I'm excited." haha, she is the best! And sometimes I think we are the same person.

Instax camera

I have an adorable instax camera that documents our life so beautifully. Here is our life in instaxs' from this summer.
01. Kent at the Blackfoot fair with his inside-out burger. 02. Anna at the fair. 03. Cow at the fair.

I made these a little darker, and by the way these are way out of order.
01. Us at the top of "R" Mountain. 02. Kent at Braums. 03. Us at the Sunset Zoo.

01. A weekend in provo with the rarick littles. 02. Us at Jackson Hole Wyoming 03. Us on a date to the Cocoa Bean. (Like a minute after we took the picture Kent dropped the cupcake. It was funny.)

01. Grandma at her husband's grave. 02. Anna and a puppy. I saw some kids playing with him while we were driving home. I told kent to stop the car and take our picture. 03. Us after a morning at the temple.

01. Visiting Grandpa in recovery from knee surgery. 02. Family at the airport before we left.

01. After Claire's Graduation Party. 02. Us kissing in the rain. 03. Kiva :)

01. Church Basketball. I came that evening to cheer. 02. Kent and Parker 03. Anna & Kiva.

We also have a couple of us at the Denver Temple that I love and that are in my wallet.
I have started taking more pictures and actually printing them. My first set of pictures comes in the mail hopefully tomorrow (!). I can't wait to start scrapbooking for real.

Happy Thursday!

Blogging Confession

"If my blog was a plant, it would be dead." -quote here.

I agree with that statement. Over the summer so much happens. So many pictures are taken, and memories made, which I should be blogging about. But, then the next day it happens all over again. Days mush together and time is filled with movies and crafting. I just can't find time to blog!

This is quite a different story when school rolls around. I will have SO much to do, magically I will find time to blog and report about our daily lives. Stay tuned because school starts in exactly one week!

While we wait for school to start, here are pictures of the Eastern Idaho State Fair.

Little adventures in August

This past month has been eventful with family and traveling and work. I recently got another job at a call center, just to get some extra hours in the week. My family came and went, Claire stayed and we have been spending afternoons together. It's been fun :) Kent and I took a trip this past weekend to Denver to shoot a wedding for an awesome family (Love those Barnetts and Mays!!).

Labor day we went to the East Idaho State fair with David and Lauren. It was HUGE and so much fun! There were so many animals, places to eat and things to look at.

School starts in less that 2 weeks! We are ready. I think.
