We've Moved!

We have moved to a new blog!

It is the same type of blog, but with more purpose. This blog just seemed to be a creative outlet for me when it was convenient. The other blog is linked to my new e-mail (annacbuys@gmail.com) and it has a fresh start with a purpose. Go on over to check out what we've been up to! :)

Thank you for caring!

the vow

Back in May Kent and I went through a "trial". That word seems to be thrown around at church and I didn't know what it really meant until things got tough. Now I know.
Kent was jobless and I was upset every minute he did not work to find a stupid job, which left Kent frustrated at the situation and at me. Things were not happy.

One Saturday morning we went to a garage sale with our jar of coins and found this book. I paid 50 cents for it and we read about half of it that day. After the second chapter we were both in tears and amazed at this couple and what they could accomplish with such a "trial".
10 months after this couple got married, they were in a car accident and Kricket (the wife) forgot all about Kim (her husband) and their wedding, but they stayed together through all this because of their promise they made to God.

This book got us through some hard times and made us realize that we can do it and work it out and move forward with Faith in Christ and trust in each other.
Things get worse before they can get so so so much better.

My favorite paragraph in the book is on the last page:

"As this book comes to an end, our lives will continue on. As you close the back cover of this book, I want you to remember that in life you will encounter some very tough times, but you can find your strength in God. If there is something missing in your life, seek the Lord. If you once had him in your life and now he seems far away, guess who moved? He is still there; just go to him. He loves you with an everlasting love, and through obedience to him all commitments will endure.
We made a vow."

I made a plan for my life but it wasn't the way it was supposed to be. The Lord will lead you in the direction you should be going, even if it's hard.

It's getting so much better and Kent and I are becoming a better couple every day.

p.s. the book is WAY better than the movie.

Who I look Like

This is my Granny. Her name is Janet Esther Ray. If you cover her mouth, it's me! We have the same hair, face shape, eyes and nose! It's amazing how similar we are. I'm so happy I look like her. She is beautiful!

And + I know exactly what I'm going to look like when I'm older.  :)

Family Photoshoot

 >>about a week ago we took my new little camera out for an adventure. Here is what came from it.
Kent loves this show called "The Call of the Wildman" and the main guy's name is the "Turtle Man". This is the pose he does to find snapping turtles.
I promise the wisdom tooth video is uploading! It will be up soon :)

My wisdom tooth tale | August 1, 2014

Hi everyone. It's good to be back. And by back I am referring to the time where I forgot everything that happened in a room where my wisdom teeth left my mouth. Thank you Dr. Lee.

It started this morning at 3:45 a.m. when I woke up suddenly and thought I forgot to go to my appointment. I realized the time and then couldn't go back to sleep. I started thinking about everything good and bad that could happen from this. I will not have to deal with the teeth growing in, I might be crazy tomorrow, I might die tomorrow, I might forget which medicine to take and when, I might throw up, etc.

We got up at 6:35, got there by 7 a.m. and they strapped me up to all these wires and blood pressure things. I sat there by myself in the room listening to PINK. I was in the room alone with all these things hooked up to my body. Then the doctor came in, gave me the awful IV and I was gone! The last thing he said to me was, "good luck" and I said, "thanks".

I woke up to Kent filming me in the chair! It was so good to see him. I remember thinking the whole time, I'm so awake, I know what's going on. But I was crazy!

I went home and skyped Claire and Brantley. Kent told me to take a picture of all of us on skype, so we took some screen shots, but in the first two my eyes were closed :)

I sat on the couch, watched monk, threw up twice because of the pain pills/no food substance.
I feel great now.

Pioneer Day

Today is Pioneer Day - only celebrated in Utah and Idaho - which means I cannot go to work! It's a day off! I am thankful for the Pioneers... but really? Why can't we celebrate this event on a Saturday?

I started off the day making a list. Lists always help. Here is what my list looked like:

Finish Dominguez Pictures
-Deliver

Dishes

Clean Bathroom

Spray paint bowl

Write a letter

Make Bed

Shower

It's 5:52 p.m. and I have successfully completed all my list items. I even wrote 4 letters. I love productive days.

Even though everything is done off the list, the apartment still feels unorganized. bleh. I sometimes wish we had an extra bedroom to hide all our boxes and such. For now we will hide them behind the couch.
