Hola, This is Kent. I think this is my first post in a long time. I will be making some posts about every week or so about my scripture readings for the week. This is part of a New Testament class that I am taking this semester. I hope that these things that I find and share will be a help and a good message to all.
I was reading in Acts chapter 7 and versus 55 and 56 have always stood out to me because it talks about how Stephen was able to see God and Jesus Christ on the right hand of God. I kept reading as I was searching for a principle, and later in that chapter, actually the last verse in that chapter verse 60 it talks about Stephen and how he cried with a loud voice asking for the Lord to not let this be a sin to these people.
As I read this, my first reaction to Stephen was "how can you forgive these people that have stoned you for testifying of the truth". Stephen truly humbled himself and is helping me to see that we have to forgive everyone, no matter what someone else may do, and to what degree, we have to forgive others. Stephen is a great example to us all. I hope we can learn to be more forgiving. Have a great Day!
